The election of the Seventh Local Council was held on Saturday 9th March 2013 where, out of 13 contestants, 9 Councillors were elected. Elected members were Dr Maria F. Deguara MD, Anne Marie Muscat Fenech Adami, Clinton Sammut, Pierre Sciberras and Louis Bonnici on behalf of the Nationalist Party (PN) whilst Clifford Galea, Noel Gatt, Alexander Agius and Pauline Miceli were elected on behalf of the Labour Party (PL).

Due to the sudden death of Louis Bonnici on the 2nd May 2014, a casual election took place on the 19th May 2014. Maryanne Cuomo, who had already served in the previous legislature and also serves as the Chairperson for the Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq Administrative Committee, was elected.

On the 9th November 2015 Marlon Brincat succesfully contested a casual election after Pauline Miceli’s resignation from the Council, following her appointment as Commissioner for Children.

Anne Marie Muscat Fenech Adami

Anne Marie Muscat Fenech AdamiMayor

Anne Marie Muscat Fenech Adami was born on 31 August 1968. She is married to Brian Muscat and they have two children. She was elected for the first time in 2009 and re-elected in 2013. Between 2013 and June 2017 she served as Deputy Mayor. Mrs Muscat Fenech Adami took office of Mayor on 26 June 2017 following the resignation of Dr Maria Deguara who was elected as Member of Parliament.

Clinton SammutDeputy Mayor

Clinton Sammut was born on 6 July 1989. He contested the local elections, and was elected for the first time in 2009. He was re-elected in the 2013. He was elected Deputy Mayor on 26 June 2017. His responsibilities include the environment (general), sport and civil protection.

Clifford GaleaCouncillor (Minority Leader)

Clifford Galea was born on 30 November 1985. He contested the local elections and was elected for the first time in 2009. He was re-elected in 2013. Councillor Galea is the Minority Leader within the Naxxar Local Council, and his main responsibilities are history and culture and rural zones.

Noel GattCouncillor

Noel Gatt was born on 25 July 1972. He is married to Rosanne and is a father of two children. Noel was elected for the first time in March 2000 and got re-elected in 2003 and 2006. Following the death of Victor Agius, Noel successfully contested the casual election. He successfully contested the 2013 elections. His responsibilities are public cleansing, health and safety, traffic and transport.

Alexander AgiusCouncillor

Alexander Agius was born on 2nd August 1983. He is married to Elaine and they have a daughter. He contested the local elections for the first time in 2013, and was elected. Councillor Agius' responsibilites include Youths and Public Conveniences.

Pierre SciberrasCouncillor

Pierre Sciberras was born on 22 September 1977. He is married to Anne Marie and has a daughter. Councillor Sciberras contested the elections for the first time in 2009, where he was elected as Deputy Mayor. He was re-elected in 2013. His responsibilities are waste management, customer care, IT and public relations.

Maryanne Cuomo

Maryanne CuomoCouncillor and Chairperson of Bahar ic-Caghaq Administrative Committee

Maryanne Cuomo was born on 30 December 1953. She is married to Mario, has two children and grandchilds. Councillor Cuomo was elected in 2009 following a casual election. She was re-elected in another casual election following the death of Louis Bonnici. She is also the Chairperson of the Administrative Committee of Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. Her responsibilities are tourism, people with disabilities whilst also serves as the Council's MAGF representative.

Marlon BrincatCouncillor

Mario (Marlon) Brincat was born on 26 August 1980. He is married to Julianne and they have a daughter. Councillor Brincat first contested successfully the elections in 2009. He was re-elected following casual elections in November 2015, following the resignation of Councillor Pauline Miceli. His responsibilities are education and the public library and serves as the LEAP representative.
